Report On Textbook Affordability

I have seen lots of news and blog posts about open source textbooks and education and current initiatives. Last semester I completed a research paper for my Technical Reporting course at WTC covering textbook affordability and impact. It discusses past and current initiatives as well as what is being done at Western to address these issues. I have included surveys, results, and other possible solutions. The appendix includes comments from fellow students, the college president, and campus shop manager. Lastly there is an extensive list of sources and additional links regarding this issue. I truly enjoyed researching this topic and raising awareness even if only on a small-scale. Please click on the link below to read the PDF version of this research report which is also located on my eportfolio website at https://360atupper.wordpress.com/ .

Newsletter: You’re Guide to Writing Technical Communications

Newsletter: You’re Guide to Writing Technical Communications. This link leads to an assignment I completed for a current course of mine “Writing for the Electronic Medium”. It utilizes Word Web Apps to link to an ealier version of this newsletter that I had created as part of a course “Technical Reporting” through Western Technical College. In my current online newsletter there are several links to technical writing textbooks, articles, and other web writing resources. Using my current theme on WordPress to incorporate a newsletter wasn’t all that easy and I don’t think I completely did this assignment correctly however I am a total beginer and am otherwise pleased with what I have learned to do thus far. You are welcome to take a look around my site however please keep in mind that this is a work in progress for my current course and therefore is incomplete. More will come as course assignments are handed out and completed and I will then post an “All Finished” blogging to show it off.
